Very often I hear:
Well let me tell you it is not that hard and you get the links to get going below.
To become the most search engine friendly with your blog you need to do the following:
- Get a domain name (I use 1and1.com)
- Get a hosting account (I use hostgator)
- Install a blogging platform (I use wordpress)
- Get a theme (I use Genesis by Studiopress and OptimizePress)
That’s all folks!
Now it is time to bring great, laser focused content about your niche and the followers will come.
You have already written your blog posts but you are not getting the visibility you hoped for. That is ok, Rome was not built in a day. You have to work for it now. (I know, it adds to your already overwhelming workload…If this is the case then you need to re-assess where you spend your time because blogging is the NOW, not the future)
Here are some tips to get more of a following:
- Get a Facebook “Like” Page
- Start commenting on local businesses as your like page
- Start commenting on local news pages as your like page
- Sorry, don’t just comment, bring value to your comment’s/posts
- Follow other blogs in your niche
- Find out who is doing what you want to do and follow them!
There is 6 right there. Do those consistently for a month and then you can/should be able to move on.
The hard part is starting and here are the steps above.
